Jumat-ul-Vida, Shab-e-Qadr: Traffic Police announce route arrangements for devotees to Dargah Hazratbal | KNO

Srinagar, Apr 03 (KNO): With the auspicious occasions of Jumat-ul-Vida and Shab-e-Qadr approaching, devotees are gearing up to converge at Asaari Sharief Dargah Hazratbal in Srinagar. In anticipation of the large gathering of worshippers, the Traffic Police have meticulously devised elaborate traffic arrangements to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the convenience of all devotees. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Traffic Police Srinagar City announced that on April 5, 2024, Friday, devotees from various districts of the Kashmir Valley will visit the Hazratbal shrine. The Traffic Police have outlined designated routes to guide the pilgrims on their journey of faith. Routes for North Kashmir Devotees travelling from North Kashmir will take the designated route through Shalteng, Parimpora, Qamarwari, Cement Bridge, Noorbagh, Sekidafar, Eidgah, Alimasjid, Sazgaripora, Hawal, Alamgari Bazar, Mill Stop, Molvi Stop, Botshah Mohallah, and culminate at the University Parking on the Saderbal side. Routes for South Kashmir Pilgrims from South Kashmir will follow the prescribed route via Panthachowk, Stone Quarry, Athawajan, Batwara, Sonwar Bazar, Ram Munshi Bagh, Gupkar, Grand Palace, Zethiyar Ghat, Nishat Foreshore Road, Habak Crossing, and then park at the University Parking on the Naseembagh side. Routes for Central Kashmir From Budgam, devotees will traverse through Hyderpora, Tengpora, Bemina Bypass, Bemina Crossing, Qamarwari Cement Bridge, Noorbagh, Sekidafar, Eidgah, Alimasjid, Sazgaripora, Hawal, Alamgari Bazar, Mill Stop, Molvi Stop, Botshah Mohallah, and finally, park at the University Parking on the Saderbal side. Alternatively, vehicles can use the Lalchowk route via SRTC Crossing, Ikhwan Chowk, Bhorikadal, Rajouri Kadal, Gojwari Chowk, Bazar Mill Stop, Molvi Stop, Botshah Mohallah, and park at the University Parking on the Saderbal side. Return Routes Following the sacred celebrations, vehicles will adhere to designated return routes based on their originating location, ensuring a seamless transition back home for all worshippers. To accommodate the influx of vehicles, elaborate parking arrangements have been made inside the University campus. Vehicles from North/Central Kashmir will park through the Sir Syed Gate (Saderbal Side), while vehicles from South Kashmir, including Ganderbal, will utilize the Budshah Gate (Habbak Side) for parking. Additional parking facilities include NIT Parking/Multi-Level Parking and VIP Parking at Hazratbal, catering to the diverse needs of devotees and officials alike. With meticulous traffic and parking arrangements in place, authorities aim to provide a hassle-free and spiritually enriching experience for all devotees attending the sacred celebrations at Hazratbal Shrine—(KNO)
